02-American Kestrel
American kestrels are common along the Jordan River Parkway throughout the seasons

On several occasions I was fortunate enough to have a pair of birds in my viewfinder!

These birds were commonly called, "sparrow hawks" in the past

Coloration of this bird, to me, is marvelous!
On this particular day, I observed 3 kestrels, each with 'dinner' in their talons.
Photographing in rapid sequence and pasting the series here gives some understanding of their flight patterns
